「香港小說學會」成立於2004年，由有興趣閱讀、創作、研究小說的社會各階層人士組成。 成員 包括學生、教師、家庭主婦、校長、藝術家、記者、設計師、高級行政人員和作家等專業人士。學會成立的目的是秉持非牟利宗旨，盡其所能與有志於推動香港文學藝術發展的知識份子、機構合作，希望透過文學雜誌的出版計劃，提供公開的寫作園地，培養本地閱讀文學作品的風氣，並藉此吸引年輕讀者和鼓勵新晉作者，有助於推廣和提高香港的閱讀和寫作氣氛。
「香港小說學會」宗旨為「 積極推廣和提高小說的創作與欣賞。會務重點在策劃、出版和宣傳會員創作小說，及舉辦各類型講座和課程，推動香港原創小說之發展。」
Founded in 2004, the Hong Kong Novelist Association (the
Association), was set up by a group of dedicated novel people coming
from a wide social spectrum. Members include students, schoolteachers,
housewives, school principals, artists, journalists, art designers,
senior administrators and professional novelists. The Association was
established with the goals of: 1.) non profit making: 2.) trying its
best to enhance the atmosphere of the local work through its publishing
program to create a novel writing condition so as to enhance literary
arts development aiming at attracting young readers and encouraging new
writers to promote writing and reading in Hong Kong, The objective of
the Association is to promote and enhance novel writing and its
appreciation among the general public, To achieve this aim, the
activities to be organized by the Association will focus on planning,
publishing and propagandizing its members’ works; and conducting
various kinds of courses for its members in the development of original
novel writing in Hong Kong.
